Habitat

Storks occur in open habitat with some trees, small forests, bushes or houses. Grassland, savannah, steppe, swamps, wet meadows and fields, floodplains and river borders are there favourite habitat. In Africa, the storks are often found in dryer land. The species avoids regions with intensive and long cold and rain periods and areas with very dens vegetation such as reedbeds and forests.
